On Wednesday 21st November we are excited to welcome Michael Shilavi, Head Chef at restaurant Ponte Pietra in Verona, to Cantina for a special Verona takeover!
For one night only Michael will be showcasing authentic Italian cooking from his region of Veneto with a 5 course truffle menu for Cantina’s guests. Enjoy dishes such as Spaghettoni alla carbonara with prawns and black truffle, Roast Guinea fowl, “Peara” Horseradish sauce & black Truffle and for dessert, Sweetened Buffalo Ricotta with Hazelnuts & black Truffle.
Michael spent three years at the two Michelin star restaurant Perbellini in Isola Rizza, where he honed technique and developed his unique style. His food showcases traditional recipes of the region, with top quality and seasonal ingredients. For this reason he has chosen to hero the beloved truffle in the height of its season.
It wouldn’t be Verona without opera, so we are thrilled to welcome our favourite opera singer Cheryl Enever for the evening who will be performing operas typical of Verona, in true Romeo and Juliet style.
The menu is priced at £38 and includes 5 truffle courses and a glass of prosecco on arrival. The menu will be available for dinner from 7pm
